Small installation
This basic installation would involve static lights to provide a wash over the stage and musicians. Different colours will be pre-selected to create a pleasing effect. Further lighting elements would be installed that would be ‘sound activated’. These lights would either change colour and/or move with the music automatically. These lights can be positioned to cover the stage and to project at the audience.
When it is sufficiently dark (i.e. during the later part of the show), we suggest a hazer(s) be deployed that will dramatically improve the spectacle of the lights (as illustrated in the pictures attached).
The above type of lighting installation would, in the main part, look after itself. Simple controls would be installed that would enable an operator to turn elements of the installation off and on independently of each other. And further simple control elements could enable dimming and colour changing of certain lighting fixtures.
It may be possible to install the above using lighting T-bars and without the need for trussing. This would be cheaper than trussing, yet it is generally less aesthetically pleasing in looks, it is also slightly less stable / safe. The physical practicalities of not using trussing would need to be assessed.
Power requirements should not exceed 32 amps.
Budget estimates for the above are as follows:
Basic lighting installation: £300 - £600
Limited control light show
This would include the same installation as 1. above, but further include moving head and intelligent light fixtures to create greater visual effect. This installation requires more sophisticated lighting control elements (a light mixing desk and trained operator).
This option would deliver a greater spectacle for the audience, but it is also noted that this would only really be seen to maximum effect when ambient light levels are sufficiently low.
Trussing would be needed to mount lighting fixtures in the above installation, along with a trained operator. Power requirements should not exceed 32 amps.
Controlled light show
This type of installation requires extensive use of intelligent lights, with pre-programmed sequences of lighting effects developed prior to the event. All aspects of the stage lighting can be controlled. For the best results, we would also wish to know as much as possible about the bands and or acts, the music involved, etc.
Power requirements should not exceed 64 amps.
Pyrotechnics and fireworks
ORA have fully licensed operatives for these kind of special
effects. Prices can only be supplied once we understand your
requirements in more detail.
